Large Early 20th Century Copper Jam Pan / Bassine a Confiture (23.5")

$795.00

A beautiful large French copper jam pan, traditionally used for making preserves, marmalades, and sweet confection work.

Unlined copper — just as a true jam pan should be — with a wide rolled rim, riveted handles, and a warm timeworn patina. Copper is prized for jam-making because it heats quickly and evenly helping preserves/fruits cook and set quickly.

Condition: Good antique condition, consistent with age and use. Some visible surface wear with light scratches from age and use. Note: as will all unlined copper, best used for high-sugar preserves and confections.
Dimensions: 23.5” W (handle to handle) 8.5” H

Includes: Shipping within the continental U.S.
