French Copper Broc a Eau, 19th Century
A French copper broc traditionally used for carrying and pouring water, and sometimes wine or cider, in daily household life.
This piece shows the unmistakable signs of long use; a richly worked surface, early construction, and period reinforcement consistent with utilitarian copper of the 19th century (circa 1850-1890). The weight, form, and pronounced pouring lip reflect an object made for repeated handling rather than display.
Condition: Antique condition consistent with age and use, with surface wear, patina, and period repairs typical of early utilitarian copper. If intended for functional use, re-tinning can be arranged upon request.
Dimensions: 14.5” H 13.5” W (including handle) 11 “ W (at the base)
Weight 6 lbs 2 oz
Includes: Shipping within the continental U.S.
