A classic late 19th-century (circa1850-1880) French terracotta confit pot from southern France, finished in a warm ochre glaze. Originally used to preserve duck or goose before refrigeration. Beautiful surface variation, soft coloration, and true hand-formed Provencal character.
Condition: Wear consistent with age and use, including two smooth worn holes (one on the bottom, one on a glazed side). Stable and in as-found cellar condition.
