A mid-19th-century French confit pot from Provence (circa 1850-1880), hand-thrown in terracotta and finished with a warm ochre-mustard glaze. Once used to preserve duck or goose before refrigeration, it retains its beautiful cellar-aged surface.
Condition: Wear consistent with age and use. Surface pitting visible, from long cellar use. One small use-worn on the bottom. Stable and authentic, sold as found in France.
